Little John Press:

This is our mid-size press.  It is 9" x 17½" x 15" high and the fully opened has 5" of air space between the bottom board and press board. Bottom board and press board are faced with plastic laminate for easy cleaning and protection against moisture and glue.

The press is constructed of 1½", 26 layer, Baltic birch plywood with clear lacquer finish. Boards are held together by 1" copper tubing, through bolted with threaded rod.  The press has a machined  ¾" press screw with a cast iron handle.

This versatile little press can be used as a book press or can be turned on its side to be used as a lying press. It can also be used as a flower press, veneer press or by hobby papermakers.
