Big John Press:

This is the largest of our standard book presses.  It is 14" x 18½" x 20" high and the fully opened has 8½" of air space between the bottom board and press board. Bottom board and press board are faced with plastic laminate for easy cleaning and protection against moisture and glue.

The press is constructed of 1½", 26 layer, Baltic birch plywood with clear lacquer finish. Boards are held together by 1" copper tubing, through bolted with threaded rod.  The press has a machined  1½" press screw with a cast iron handle.

This press can also be used as a flower press, veneer press or by hobby papermakers.
